Act I.
Time: somewhere in the afternoon, between 12 am and 3 pm
Characters: Greta Garbo and John F. Kennedy
Action: The mystery of the past evening is still lingering in the air.
Sounds from the kitchen raise the spirits. The odour of Italian pasta and main
dishes is tickling the nose. John is savouring his aperitif. Greta smiles sweetly,
still a bit drowsy. Outside is an American classics – a blue Cadillac. The day
promises an adventure…
Act II.
Time: the evening is drawing on, the clock hand has stopped at 6 pm
(looking to the south)
Characters: George Washington and Elvis Presley
Action: In the dimly lit restaurant halls are fluttering elegant waitresses.
The clients, dropping in to relax after a working day, have made themselves
comfortable in leather armchairs. On the plates there are top quality Argentinean
steaks. High-quality red wine is gently caressing the palate. George Washington
unbuttons his tunic. The bustling of laughter and pleasant conversation is inviting
the guests to surrender to the recreation and rest. Elvis puts on a gramophone
record. We can do it!
Act III.
Time: one day (somewhere between Thursday and Saturday…), it is dark
outside, however, the restaurant is cosily lit.
Characters: Al Capone, Marilyn Monroe & co.
Action: High stools at the bar. Marilyn, with her legs crossed, is
fishing for an olive in her glass of Martini. A dark-haired man lights his cigar.
The restaurant is filled with the sounds of live music. At the table Greta Garbo
is laughing softly, George Washington blows out a puff of smoke, while John
F. Kennedy asks a charming waitress Monika for one more glass of original whisky.
She is smiling. The bar mirrors from the times of Chicago gangsters reflect
gleaming bottles with drinks. Marilyn gracefully plays with a curly lock. Her
enchanting look is inviting an American Indian Joe for a passionate dance.
Maybe tomorrow we shall meet at “Skandalas” again?
